Decent beer selection. Food was nothing to write home about. My salad looked like they tore up slices of cheese and threw it on! Weird.

Close to home, so I visit often. This is closer to 3.5 rating, but went up to 4 because of the beer selection. Lots of great items on the menu. My fav is the pub chips. House smoked meats are a great addition for those menu items. The Salmon and chips is an interesting update for the standard fish and chips. Their pizzas are all very well done. Lots to try still.

A friend of mine and I came here to watch the Nebraska game. I called ahead to verify they were playing the game in the bar and were the Coloradoans for Nebraska. We were treated very rudely. I will never come back nor will I refer this place to anyone. In fact, as we were leaving we told a couple who were coming in how rudely we were treated and they left. I will find somewhere else to watch games in the future and spend my money.

All of the waitresses wore their hair down... Not only that.. But they would go to the POS and run their fingers through it (pulling out strays and letting them go onto the floor). As a server, that is wrong on so many levels.. I would have given 3 or 4 stars. Food was good and great beer selection. I just couldn't get past the idea of those long flowing hairs on the floor, and probably on a lot of plates. Don't think I'll go back.

From the recent reviews and my experience it seems this place has an issue with service. I came to watch a game and drink a couple beers. Service was fine at first, our waitress wasn't knowledgeable about beers, but that's okay (unless you're looking for a recommendation - oops I was). After our second round of beers though she never came back. Yep, she peace'd out lol. I told the bartender who got the manager, we saw him walkin around trying to figure out our bill. No one actually said anything to us about the mess. A new waitress gives us our bill (oops we were charged incorrectly for the beers). That was corrected for. Sooo do we give a tip? Where did our waitress go? Err awkward. I wouldn't say we had a bad experience, I just think the awkwardness could have been handled better. They clearly messed up and should have talked to us about it.

Okay. It's nfl season. They have several tvs and the only TV showing my teams game is in their tiny backroom where you get no service. So I ask if they can put the game on the tiny TV at the end of the bar. Ps. It's 1030 am and no one is there. They say no. Are you joking me? I've been here several times and have probably spent around $500 and they turn my business down over a TV!? What a fucking joke. This place is a joke. Sports bar my ass. Went to Ryan's and they're showing the game on 10 tvs. Great service here. Taps has lost my business for life. I usually spend $100 every time I visit here. I guess my money isn't good enough. Go to Ryan's. It's right up the street and the service and TV selection is way better.

They have a great variety of beers and I suggest trying the snowdrop. Great flavors of wings and a solid tip is to have the mix the honey sriracha and the barbecue sauce together as it is amazing! If you are a beer fan you can also join their beer mug club and get discounts on your favorite beers.

Was greeted by a friendly hostess and then waited for 10 minutes. After that we left. Any bar that makes you wait that long for drinks and food, has no clue to industry service standards. Went to Red Robin and had their usual great service, that is based upon meeting certain time frames, to insure proper service (TIPS).

Taps is nearby my house and my boyfriend and I come often. He enjoys the chicken fritter app and I really like their French dip!

This place is a great local bar n grill. Smoke all their own meats, highly recommend the pulled pork sammich and the chili con queso burger, they are magnific. Over 20 local beers on tap.

Came here yesterday to watch some football. TVs everywhere, walking distance from my house, a table you can set up for beer pong, corn hole set for outside when the weather complies, large venue. Overall, a fun spot. The happy hour is well worth it. Goes from 3-6 and the food menu is legit. Nachos for $5 ($2 extra to add meat), Beef sliders for $2 each, pork sliders $2 each, Pork Belly for $5 and a few other things I did not try. I highly recommend the pork belly, the sauce it comes with is awesome. I also liked the pork sliders a lot. Dip the pork slider in your left over pork belly sauce and you are golden. I also got to try a slice of the meat lovers pizza and it was very good too. I also enjoyed the sweet angry Russian drink ($6 each and comes in a pint glass). It is hard cider with vodka. Tastes good and gets you a solid buzz. They also have themes on certain nights, like $2 new belgium brewery pints on Tuesdays (if I remember right). I will return for sure.

Taps has been a favorite of my wife and I since it Opened in the old Sportscasters space. This is a great place to get a cold beer and watch a game. Its not nearly as pretentious as many of the "beer" bars are in Fort Collins. You dont have to be a beer snob to hang out and have a good time here. Mark, the owner is almost always around and you couldn't meet a nicer, more engaging bar owner in this town. He truly cares about the customers and the product he serves. A few years back he hired Chef Manno, who happens to be skilled in Charcuterie. ALL the meat served here is smoked in house. Do yourself a favor, and have the smoked meat pizza, you will not regret it.Great place to have a cold beer, watch the game and enjoy THE BEST food in any bar you can find locally.

Severely overpriced beer! Especially, considering we are in Fort Collins Colorado and you can get 2 dollar microbrews just about any night of the week. They do have a pretty good selection though.

my boyfriend and I came here because we got a coupon in the mail and absolutely loved it! The BBQ chicken sandwich I ordered was unreal and they have a great beer selection. We will definitely be going back soon!

I think this place gets a bit of a bad rap. They were the first of the recent bars with a large number of taps and they regularly pull in good beer, however the location is not great and the service is forgettable. That said, it's a fine place to eat and drink if you know a few things before going: - The pints/glasses of beer are relatively pricey for the area. However they offer a taster tray of 4 beers for $5. The pours are all the same size, ~4-5oz, and on a cost per ounce basis, you can easily beat the menu prices (some of the higher ABV beers run $5 or $6 for a 10 oz pour). I've personally got no problem ordering a couple samples of the same beer on one tray, up to you if you feel the same. - The servers do not know much about the beer so bring a smartphone if you want to know more than the menu provides. - The menu is very hit or miss, I've had good luck with the sandwiches and pizza. Some of the other things are not great. Pizzas are big enough to share for lunch, probably a bit small for dinner. - They regularly have coupons in the mailers around town that bring the prices back to very reasonable (There's a $10 off $30 that shows up monthly as of the writing of this review). - On nights with events it can get a bit loud, so plan around those if you don't want that. Most nights it's not too crowded and a lot of the seating is kid friendly (booths with boosters or low tables with high chairs). So all in all a fine place to eat if you go prepared.

After only going in because we had a two for 1 coupon and even asking if we could use the deal for an appetizer which was more expensive than the entree we were going to get in the first place, the waitress brought us the check and said we couldn't use the coupon. The food wasn't even that good just so so bar food, very disappointed.

So far so good. Stopped in to try it out. It was off hours on a Sunday. I hope that they do well. Great Colorado beer selection. I was a bit confused about the 10 oz glass of beer. I'm used to going to a place like this and the standard is a pint. Not sure if I had an option or not. The bar keep was good, just didn't explain the glass size all the way. My 4 year old son loved the pizza. I like the renovations that they did. I do think that they might have to keep an eye on day time drunks. There was a guy there that came in already loaded, but the bar tender did a great job fooling him with non-alcoholic drinks. I think guys like the drunk guy is used to the cheap specials of the former sports bar that was there. Other all it was good and I would love to see this to be an option for families to go to and compete with Old C's. I did not really do a whole prices comparison yet. I do suggest if they want more main streeters to come in, that they have a kids menu.

We have been to Tap's several times since it opened last March but felt it wasn't ready to be reviewed until now. It has taken them a while to work out all the kinks, but everything seems to be flowing smoothly now. Although it's location isn't ideal for a bar (or much else), they seem to be doing a great job marketing to get customers in the door. And with the ever changing selection of beers on tap, we are always willing to stop in and try something new. Atmosphere: The first thing you will notice when approaching Taps Sports Bar and Grill is the large inviting patio out front. Inside you will find an abundance of HD TV's at good viewing angles. With a large wrap around bar and an a lot of tables (high & low) and booths, you should always be able to find a place to watch your team. Service: Service was a little rocky when they first opened, but that is to be expected. The staff seems to have done a 180 in the quality of their service and attitude. We always receive friendly prompt service at the bar and management is always hands on. Drinks: Taps has over 40 beers on tap ranging from domestics to micros and those are always changing. Most of the micros are from Colorado and none of the tap beers are imports. . Food: We have eaten here several times and the food is OK. Let's keep it real, we come for the beer. The menu is comprised of appetizers, pizza, salads, sandwiches and burgers for the most part and most under $10.

Stopped in here for a quick after work drink on a Friday. Great nachos and a ton of beer. Extra bonus points from me for being a Nebraska fan friendly bar!!

I've always been a horrible painter. I took art classes all throughout high school, and although I was creative, I was never really that visually artistic. My follow through was total crap. I started with an image in my mind, one that seemed to be a dramatic, emotional creation that was sure to win accolades. But, as soon as I put paint to canvas, it never quite turned out the way I imagined. That is, unless I was aiming for the "two-year-old-coloring-on-wall" look. So, maybe I could have been successful as an abstract painter, where you really had to use your "imagination." After having lunch at Taps Sports Bar, I got the same feeling about their menu as I have about my amateur art skills. The idea is there - it looks great on paper - but the execution just isn't cutting it. I really wanted to be excited about Taps Sports Bar when I walked in, but left feeling like there was no rush to return. With the majority of their drafts being local brews you can find in brew houses, and a menu that promisingly incorporates beer in their dishes, but doesn't come through - I feel like they aren't painting the image on the canvas that they have all figured out in their heads.

False Announcement! New Beer menu printed with lower prices! = NOT TRUE. When I ordered some random beer from their "NEW Menu" the waitress said "Oh, that's an old list... We don't have that beer. We have *mutter random other beer*, do you want that instead?" Um... ok. This was about as much interaction as I had with the waitress. We talked to the manager more than her AND I even hung out with the bartender while trying to fix the drink she messed up. So... waitstaff service was unimpressive. Although, our pizza apparently melted itself into their oven so the manager said they would make us a new one on the house -- which was very thoughtful. All-in-all, management has the apologizing down pat. It's unfortunate that they have to apologize for so much, but they're damn good at it. P.S. My Tomato Mozzarella pizza was incredible! I ate half the pizza!!

I was recommended Taps by some friends who are about as big as beer snobs as Steven and I. We have been to most of the local breweries and have to wait for new ones to open. We don't feel like driving to Southern Colorado to explore the breweries down there just yet because the biggest town there, Durango is eight hours away from where we live. Just one way! The answer to this dilemma is to go to tap houses that carry brews from all over the state. I consider Taps to be one of these such places. They carry about 50 brews at the same time. I wound up getting beer from local places because that is what sounded most appealing. I had a great Vanilla Porter from Breckenridge Brewery and the Mole beer from the Lips of Faith series put out by New Belgium. I also ordered the tomato and mozzarella salad with basil vinaigrette which was awesome! If you go on a week night I think this is a great bar to go to if you want something a bit more quieter and avoid all of the rowdiness that you get at the bars in Oldtown.

My girlfriend and I cam in very excited about what the place had to offer - hard-to-find beers and an interesting menu, and I had read online that they were giving away a New Belgium Cruiser that night too. The atmosphere was very nice, and the menu looked good. Beers were very pricey though. I absolutely understand paying top dollar for a beer nobody else has on tap, like the Funkwerks White Ale, however $4.69 for a New Belgium brew I can get anywhere else in town for $3.00 is absurd. We asked about the bike giveaway and were informed that we couldn't enter, registration was already closed. OK, we missed it, however the card on the table said you were required to purchase 5 New Belgium pints to enter. Not sure its legal to require a purchase of anything for a sweepstakes giveaway...but I digress. Food prices were reasonable for what the menu described, however the kitchen and servers completely failed to live up to the menu's expectations. I order their shrimp mac and cheese, and what I got was cheesy noodle soup with some shrimp. Meh. The real pooper was my girlfriend's meal. She ordered the French Dip, which was served cold. She asked that it be taken back and warmed up. When the server returned with it over 10 minutes later, it was still just as cold as before. We notified the server and she took it again, and this time the fron of house manager came to our table and told us very clearly that they would bring us "a fresh sandwich." another ten minutes later and the same sandwich (had a bite taken out of it) was returned to us, still cold. Needless to say, we won't be going back. When you have to send a meal back three times for something as simple as serving a hot meal at the right temp, you start to wonder what the heck you're paying so much for...

Stopped in for dinner the other night. Food was pretty good and prices were reasonable. the reason for the 5 stars is the service. We had a young waiter named Will, and his service was outstanding! We will be back!

I agree that the waitstaff is friendly, but our poor server was horribly uninformed of what beers were on tap. My husband had to order his beer three times, each time the server leaving to get the beer, and then coming back to tell us that it wasn't on tap. She was very gracious, and I really felt sorry for her - she kept having to make excuses for not having beers that were printed on the menu. The bacon cheeseburger was dry and bland. Really, I'm not quite sure how it is possible to prepare a bacon cheeseburger that is lacking in flavor and juiciness, but Taps sure did it. We are still perplexed. Finally, perhaps the most annoying part of our visit was the pricing structure for the beers. The prices are random numbers, like $4.18, and vary for each beer (some beers are also available in different sizes). The prices for a pint are higher than you could get anywhere else in Fort Collins. Adding insult to injury, Racer 5 IPA is only available in a smaller size (10 or 12 oz), supposedly due to its high alcohol content, but you can get it anywhere else in a pint or pitcher. Hmmm . . it feels like Taps is trying to trick the uninformed into paying more $$ for his/her beer. Two stars for friendly service and a decent chicken salad. I'm not driving all the way down there again, though.

I really wanted to like Taps... Attempt #1 - Lunch on a weekday - Absolutely empty, thought we interrupted a staff meeting that no one showed up for. Someone heard us come in and seated us and got drinks right away. Menu was just OK - typical pub fare with a twist, and some other dishes made with local beers - now we're talking. But a steak at lunch meant a nap at work, so went with the double decker grilled cheese. Left wanting to give it another chance. Attempt #2 - Sunday for March Madness - A bit busier then weekday lunch, but by no means at capacity. Got seated in a coffin-sized booth and drinks ordered. Game watched, curses said, time goes by. Drinks arrive, meals ordered - nachos and another sandwich. A LONG period of time goes by, my team loses, my bracket is screwed. Wondering where our food is as other folks around us (in larger parties) come, eat & leave around us. I really like the idea of a beer-tuned menu, I'm just not ready to drop $12 before drinks on an entree in a bar.

I've been resisting the urge to try Taps because I remembered how filthy the place used to be before it became Taps. Also because of all of the the negative reviews posted here. Now I'm glad I finally gave it a try. The first thing you're going to notice when you walk into Taps is that it is bright and clean, and you're not going to be afraid of catching something from the walls. Dinner isn't my thing but I've enjoyed lunch at Taps several time. My favorite is the 5-star fish and pub chips. The pub chips are thinly sliced and deep fried, and dusted with Parmesan and a little white truffle oil. And the pork shanks -- try the pork shanks. (Appetizer) Taps has a large selection of beer on tap. If you like brown ale, you'll like the Alaskan Amber Ale. And if want something other than beer, the bar tender will be happy to mix it for you. Service was quick, the food was hot, and the beer was cold. (Flights available). Price is about par for any sports pub in town, but the food is better.

I went here for dinner and a drink on a Thursday evening with the wife and a friend. It's walking distance to my condo so I really wanted to like this place a lot. Old Town has some kick-ass places but i've been looking for a cool bar on the south end of town. Really nice decor and it's a very clean place. They had plenty of TV's for sports and had a nice little pool room. I'm sure the patio would be nice in the summer. The staff was all friendly too and the only complaint I had with the service was that it took about 15 minutes to get the basketball game on the TV and they weren't really busy, but that didn't bother me too much. Oh, that and they didn't put in an orange in my friends sunshine wheat. The food was so-so. The fries were ok and I also had the pub chips which were ok but not worth the 5 dollar price tag. I had the burger with jalapenos and bacon which was pretty crappy. I didn't even eat half of it. Just not juicy at all and totally lacking in flavor. Now for the beer. Decent selection, 40 taps I read, and some good ones. The problem is that they are asking at least 4 dollars for a pint of anything decent and most beers run about 5 or 6. A pint of coors light is 3.50. I'm from Chicago and I'm used to paying these prices at most of my watering holes there. In a town where you can literally get free beer (thank you New Belgium Tasting Room) why would I want to pay over 4 dollars a pint? It's asinine. I'm not sure if the owner is from around here but they must not realize that this is a college town with some really great places with awesome food and reasonably priced beer. I know that it's a ways from the campus but it's located in a shopping plaza next to Best Buy, not exactly a high-end location. They could have at least had one beer on special that is affordable. No specials though, just happy hour. Oh well, I doubt it will be around long. I don't demand the world, just good food and beer at a reasonable price. Hopefully I can find somewhere like that on the south end of Fort Collins sometime soon.

I went here for a UFC pay per view. It was nothing spectacular. The beer list was outdated and the waitress made herself pretty scarce. They took forever with our pizza but that turned out OK because the manager gave it to us on the house. The manager was great, very helpful and friendly. The rest of the joint, I can't say much.

This is Fort Collins' new beer bar. So far so good. Several taps and not just locals. It's rare to find Deshutes on tap around here. I look forward to coming here frequently.

The food was delicious and the service was awesome. I had a burger and pub chips (really yummy). They even have gluten free beer which is a plus for me. Also, the kitchen was more than willing to lettuce wrap burgers and help make my meal gluten free. The atmosphere is really nice. A nice place to watch sports and have a good time without all the craziness of old town. Nice to leave a bar without ringing in my ears. I definitely will be going back to try some other menu items.

Went in on a Friday night and the place was super busy - almost every table full. Lots of party-crowd types at the bar, and lots of families at the tables. I am pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing - the turkey wrap. The turkey was watery cheap cold cuts (ice cold, too) and I pulled it all out. To be fair, my date said his French Dip was delicious, and the fries were pretty good, so I would give the food a second try. HOWEVER, about mid-way through our dinner, the trivia started. I do not have a beef with trivia, but I do have a beef with music being played so loudly that it was absolutely impossible to have a conversation. Seriously, this is NOT a nightclub and I didn't see anyone dancing to the very loud music. It is a sports bar. Sports bars are loud and that's okay. But the music was SO loud, we didn't even stay to order an after dinner drink. Get a handle on the volume, folks. It was early and there was definitely a mixed crowd in there, and I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of them, were trying to converse. We won't be back.
